The Sierra Club is the nation's largest grassroots environmental
organization, supported by the efforts of our members and volunteer activist
leaders. We hold meetings and events throughout Massachusetts focusing on
conservation issues, political activities, and the business operations of
the chapter and our local groups. New to the Sierra Club and want to join or

Garbage Dreams follows three teenage boys born into the trash trade and
growing up in the world's largest garbage village. It is the home to 60,000
Zaballeen, Egypt's 'garbage people.' When their community is suddenly faced
with the globalization of their trade, each boy is forced to make choices
that will impact his life and the future of his community. This award
winning film will be followed by a panel discussion. This is a free event,
open to all. Co-sponsored by the Sierra Club's Essex County Group. For more

Clean energy is the key to controlling our environmental problems
-- join us for a discussion to learn what difference you can make in
the energy future of the commonwealth. Follow your interest with us,
be it wind power, solar power, geothermal power, or beyond. We will
also raise the issue of coal burning and the steps we should take as
citizens to decrease our dependency on this polluting energy source
that supplies us with most of our electricity. Share your thoughts on
energy efficiency. Your participation matters, bring your ideas, we

clean air... The Sierra Club Needs YOU! Do you want to make sure we elect
politicians who want to protect the environment? Do you enjoy politics and
want to make a difference in elections? The Sierra Club needs your help! The
Chapter Political Committee endorses and supports environmental candidates
in local, state, and national elections. This meeting would be great
opportunity to see what the Political Committee does. We have openings on

Boston ICO is a community outreach program that provides opportunities
for urban youth and adults to explore, enjoy and protect the natural world.
We are looking for leaders! We lead monthly day and overnight trips in
Massachusetts and neighboring states including canoeing, hiking,
snowshoeing, biking, apple picking and camping. We will be planning our
Spring/Summer Program at the April meeting and continuing fundraising
