| Sierra Club members are 700,000 of your friends and neighbors, with 26,000 in Massachusetts. Sierra Club groups elect their own leaders by a vote of the membership, and also choose which local environment issues they wish to work on. Through grassroots activism, public education, lobbying and litigation, the Sierra Club works to protect the health of our environment and the preserve our remaining wild places. There are chapters in every state, and all chapters have groups which are organized geographically around local issues. To help start a local group or become more involved, contact the Group Development Committee at grpdev@sierraclubmass.org, or the Chapter office at 617-423-5775 or office@sierraclubmass.org. |
